The problem with glass is that it's normally an unsafe and unsecured material. I've learned from
personal experience that hailstones and wind-borne debris can easily punch through a
car window or plate glass. Not only are the flying objects a hazard, the flying glass is
usually an even greater danger. One of the most
common injuries from severe storms is from flying glass.
For years I have been searching for a way to secure glass windows from hailstones, hurricane force winds (yes... even high winds alone can break glass) flying debris
and the famous "smash and grab" of criminals. The answer came to me while watching a television
special about bomb-proofing windows. This is how I found Ace/Security Laminates&trade -- a strong
crystal clear plastic applied to the inside surface of glass.
Granted, glass may break from any sudden impact, but Ace/Security Laminates&trade work by holding the glass in place, making penetration extremely difficult -- even after multiple strikes. In fact,
I have seen actual home and business windows with the laminate beaten with a crowbar and they
were not breached. Another advantage of the laminate is "after the
break" protection. In most cases the broken window still offers some stability and protection even after it's broken. For me, this means I can still drive, park, etc., with a damaged chase truck window. For a home owner this is even more important -- especially in evacuated or disaster areas where you
might not be able to access your home for days.
For those of you who carry expensive gear or products in your vehicle, the laminate is a must have. Ace/Security Laminates&trade are also available in a tinted
product.
Ace/Security Laminates&trade are an excellent way to add protection to your home or vehicle.
Ace/Security Laminates&trade receives my highest rating.
