Storm Chaser® Product Review

Canada Goose

Over the course of my 20 years of professional storm chasing, I have encountered a wide range of extreme weather. To combat the elements, I have worn a wide variety of clothing.

From hurricanes to extreme cold, my occupation demands the best in clothing. When things get crazy, the last thing I need to worry about is clothing. The key words are "dry," "warm" and "comfortable." Even seemingly innocent wind and rain can drain your energy over time.

In addition to keeping track of the latest electronic and camera gear, I like to keep updated on clothing. For those of you who are not aware, clothing technology has made leaps and bounds in recent years.

One adventure clothing company I have recently discovered is Canada Goose®

Canada Goose® manufactures some of the world's most efficient protective clothing. From lightweight, stylish windbreakers to Antarctic-grade parkas. Using proprietary blends of top-quality Canadian down, Canada Goose products are impressive right out of the box. In fact, when my shipment arrived and I opened the box, I knew by simply touching the material and looking over the workmanship, I had a quality product.

A big plus is that all Canada Goose clothing is manufactured solely in Canada, so the quality control is top notch.

The technology used in the design of Canada Goose® clothing is amazing. With cutting edge technology like Nano Sphere®, and maybe the most impressive of all, C_change TM "Bionic Climate Membrane." Not only is this material waterproof and windproof, it "independently reacts to changing temperature and activities affording amazing breathability and comfort."

Know as "Waterproof, Windproof, Breathable and Guaranteed," I have tested a number of their products and found the reputation quite deserving. To put the Canada Goose®

products to the test, I recently traveled to the top of Mt. Lemmon in SE Arizona during a blizzard. The jackets and parkas worked flawlessly. In fact, the breathability as advertised was most impressive, as I soon forgot I was wearing a jacket due to the interior comfort. I also gave the lighter weight jacket (shell) a walk in driving rain and found it to be both water resistant and comfortable.

My absolute favorite Canada Goose® product is the "Pearson Field Jacket." (Seen to right with me and the chase truck). This pinstriped, fully functional and stylish jacket allows me to look great while offering full comfort and protection. If these jackets ever make it to the streets of Aspen, look out --- they will be an instant hit. I should also mention that the ladies line of clothing is equally classy, while functional. Additional products including youth clothing and accessories are also available.

Canada Goose® products passed the storm chaser test, earning the Storm Chaser® Official Seal Of Approval, and the outstanding clothing product award for 2007.
