The Archangel - Storm Intercept Vehicle SIV TIV The first-ever, fortified chase vehicle and camera truck!      Introduction The Archangel has been modified for use as a storm intercept vehicle. The Archangel was the first fortified vehicle ever built to intercept severe weather and tornadoes. The Archangel was designed in 1999 by renown storm chasing journalist Warren Faidley. It must be noted that the Archangel is NOT designed to drive into a tornado. The equipment and protection are designed for function, travel safety, hail protection and avoidance of normal storm generated debris. Despite recent television stories, NO vehicle can withstand unpredictable tornadic winds and debris, sometimes reaching over 350 mph.
